Day 52 of the Summer of Martie--with lunch!

Today we went to lunch with dear friends we don't see often enough. Martie really liked the lamps on the tables.


A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.

One of our party is a highly skilled origamist, and managed to sneak butterflies onto Martie when I wasn't looking. Aren't they pretty?

    ps I have a tonner Rapunzel and I was wondering what you do to keep Martie's hair looking nice?

    Aren't they beautiful? My friend is a real artist.

    I have a spritz I use on Martie's hair--I have a 3 oz travel spray bottle, and I put 1/2 tsp of Downy liquid fabric softener into it, then fill it with water and shake it up. As I brush her hair (with a wire bristle brush), I spritz a bit onto the hair as I go--it gets rid of tangles, keeps her hair soft, and smells *great*. Then I make sure to braid it, so it can't get all tangled and frizzy. Hope that helps!

    Thanks for the tip. I'm obsessed (no really, I've memorized the movie...) with Tangled and I love dolls so I knew I had to have Rapunzel. I'm a young collector (13) so my dolls never look *perfect* but I do keep them looking nice :)
