Both, and that Kevin is a maniac about prep on painting. There were cracks in the plaster, the woodwork needed to be caulked, and when they pulled out the carpet 10 or so years ago, they left a lot of staples and carpet fibers that had been glued to the quarter-round--they didn't remove the carpet so much as just tug it loose. That takes a LOT of time to fix.
Plus, bless him, Kevin's determined to make it look nothing at all like "Ann's room" so I won't be sad in there. N'awww.
Oh my! I know how stressful painting can be. At least Martie is there to make sure all the little details are taken care of! A mini painters hat would be oh so cute :)
Wow, are you having to do a lot of reworking, or is this just because you have the opportunity to make it nicer?

N'awwww, indeed. Good for Kevin. And yeah, might as well clean up before you get moved in. I don't know that I'd have the patience, though!
ReplyDeleteI don't have the patience myself, so it's good that Kevin does. ;D
ReplyDeletePlus, he's doing this because he loves me, and that's kind of hard to get impatient with, even when I'm doing some of the tedious stuff.
BTW, Kevin also suggested we get Martie some teeny painter's supplies (brush, hat, etc) so when we're painting I can get good pics of her helping. :D
