In which I take too many photos.

The Second Dress of Much Bother:

Colette welcomes her new sister, Cosette:

My Three Hittys, named for my three mothers, Alma, Roberta (Ann) and Alicia.

Heather and Colette were looking at the baby across the street:

Holly is mystified as to why in the world I'd go outside without her.

  1. Heather is a *stunner* in that outfit, Charlie. Gorgeous. And as always, your dolls are much prettier than their pictures would lead me to believe they could be. I may be in love with the Hittys, too.

And Holly's right; why in the world would you go out wihtout her?

  2. Holly barked a couple of times, using her herding voice--"Gitcher arse back in here!"

I told you they were gorgeous! Heather's a stunner no matter what, but I have to admit, I love the yellow dresses on her. Maybe orange next...

  3. PS: Hitty is wood-carved--if you can whittle, you can make her! I can't be trusted with carving knives, so I bought mine for $$$, but I have a pattern for a cloth Hitty somewhere in my bookmarks. I'll dig it up if you're interested.

  5. My Lasher is beautiful no matter what I put her in, I can't take all the credit! She was my Grail Baby, then Alison Rasmussen on Fashion Doll Review decided to sell hers, and I swooped in so fast I think I startled her! That dolly does look aMAZing in yellow, I'm really pleased with that dress!

My Three Hittys are thick as thieves now, they go everywhere together! Ooh, Tiggs, tell your mom I got a basswood blank and some scary-lookin' carving tools, and I'm gonna try to get that Hitty to come out of those sticks!

  6. I would totally take a pattern for a cloth Hitty! I might try one of polymer clay, too. I'm probably going to get into sculpting for my Mongol doll's outfit. Donna is "encouraging" me to do so. Thank you!

  7. My cloth Hitty pattern is print, as it turns out, here it is: http://barbspencerdolls.com/patterns/ It's not complex, but it's a really good serious pattern.

Donna's got the right idea. DO IIIIIIIIIT.

Please leave your thoughts. I don't expect universal love but I do expect civil commentary. If you're a hater, don't play. Thanks!
